We are all affected by the colours around us and those we wear. The best colours are those that work with your individual physical characteristics – your hair, eyes and skin tone, to create visual harmony.

Colour contrast
High contrast = high authority
This will be your most authoritative look. Choose from your deepest colour range and contrast with your brightest colour or lightest pastel, for example black and white, often called power dressing.
Medium contrast= approachability
Combinations of either medium/dark or medium/light contrast, giving a more relaxed and approachable way of dressing. This is the most people-friendly and yet professionally effective way to co-ordinate colours.
Low contrast – where two colours of the same ‘value’ are combined. Whilst elegant or fashionable in a social context, it can be ineffectual or subdued for business dress.
