American actress and now also a producer and director Courteney Cox is probably best known in the UK for playing Monica Geller in the massively successful sitcom Friends.
Now 52, she also starred in the US sitcom, Cougar Town, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination, and played the tough-talking editor of a scandal magazine in Dirt.
She is in great shape at 52, as you would expect a Hollywood A-Lister to be. But as we keep saying at SoSensational, this is what 50-plus looks like in the 21st century – and we expect she will look equally good at 62 and probably 72 and even 82, though the SoSensational Crystal Ball is out for repair so no guarantees there.
We like her daywear choices. Steal her style by choosing a dress with a great cut and in a great colour for you (yes, we know we keep saying it, but it’s true!). With her dark-brown hair and pale complexion, she looks good in white, but that cobalt blue is totally fabulous on her.
We doubt the sleeves (on both dresses) are to hide the tops of her arms – we guess they are toned and firm from an LA lifestyle and extensive gym work, but it is good to see sleeves and they definitely balance her slender torso. As she is a Hollywood A-Lister, and has good legs, she is rocking bare knees in both dresses – and looks great.
For those of us not living in a Californian-style climate, or with less perfect pins, the dresses could be a few inches longer and in the UK climate, we might benefit from tights or hold-ups.
As we have previously suggested, if you are tall’ish (around 5’7; 5’8”) but not necessarily officially a “Tall” as far as brands are concerned (which means 5’10” or over), a dress in a Tall length will ensure your knees are well covered…
