What do we want now that the festive party season is almost here?
Why, a delicious little dress in figure-slimming black, AKA an LBD (Little Black Dress), of course!
The very fact that Little Black Dress has been abbreviated to LBD and we all know what’s meant, is a tribute both to its perennial popularity and its universal wearability among women of all ages.
For women over 50, the Little Black Dress may, literally, be a little less “Little” these days as we may want sleeves and a bit more coverage up-top. But the essence of the LBD remains – a simple black number we can slip into for a party or any black-tie event, and know we’ll look our sensational best.
Are you a fan of the Little Black Dress? Do let us know why. Or maybe why not…

I bought the Coast dress (top row) as fits so well, I have a very small waist at least a size smaller than rest of me and difficult to find any clothes to fit. I am age 63 and quite tall, so this dress, which has a very curved waist actually fits, has some sleeve coverage and is long enough too.
Thanks for letting us know. We think Coast is a great brand but it’s a brand many women over 50 perceive is not for them. Happy you found a fab frock there…
