There is very little in the way of clothing that makes you feel as good as a really pretty bra and matching briefs – or at least that’s the view of lingerie from Jan and Cyndy.
Less accommodating (in every sense) than a handbag, they admit, since a handbag will never punish you for eating that delicious bar of Seed & Bean Lemon & Poppy Seed Creamy White Chocolate, while a pretty bra and matching briefs might very well reproach you for your indulgence by pinching a bit.
But nevertheless, the sense of well-being you get from wriggling into pretty pants and a pretty and properly supporting bra is matchless. The right bra can truly transform a woman’s life by ensuring her clothes fit better and she looks slimmer and more shapely.
At SoSensational we believe that a great (and good-fitting) bra is essential for every woman over 45, or over a double-A cup; those boobs need to be where nature and fashion intended – on the upper half of your chest, not down on your waist.

Even when you know your correct bra size, you still need to be picky about fit. Just as in dresses or trousers, bra sizing varies from brand to brand, so you may be a 36B in one brand and a 34C in another. Our advice when buying online (which is totally brilliant, as you can try on at home in your own time with the garment/s you plan to wear on top) is to order the chosen bra in several sizes and return those that don’t fit.
Also, of course, we need different bras for different clothes. We need pretty bras with a bit of plunge to wear with low necklines, and we need smooth T-shirt bras to wear with T-shirts and knitwear, and, of course we need strapless and multi-way bras for evening wear and party-wear.

Cleverly, the Harlow & Fox site lists briefs and thongs separately, which Jan, for one, finds, very helpful… She says she doesn’t want to see a front view of some pants she thinks she likes, to then discover they are not briefs but thongs which leave half your rear hanging out. And she feels sure that someone with a pert little bottom feels the same way when they discover that the pants they thought they liked will cover their bot completely rather than putting it on show, as thongs do.
