At 66, Jennie Bond the BBC’s former royal correspondent, looks terrific.
While this is not a surprise to us (why would someone looking fabulous at over-50 be a surprise) we think her style is noteworthy and worth stealing.
Bond, a journalist and TV presenter, was the BBC’s royal correspondent for 14 years. More recently she has hosted Cash in the Attic, narrated the “Great British Menu” and, of course ate disgusting insects and bits of jungle animals when in 2013 she appeared on “I’m A Celebrity…” and was a runner up.
We love her choice of coat – you don’t often see celebrities wearing a coat; coats seem rather too quotidian and practical on Planet Celebrity – celebrities are presumably not meant to feel the cold; ever. So a sighting of a celebrity in a coat is a rare thing.
We love that shearling coat in exactly the right tone of nude/taupe/beige to flatter her fair colouring. It is the sort of uber-glam coat you’d want so badly to wear that you’d start hoping for chilly weather in September.
We also like her in that print wrap dress. A wrap-dress flatters all shapes and figure types, and the right wrap-dress is a brilliant wardrobe basic, as it really can be dressed up or dressed down. We like the red-tone necklace and the bright lippy to ensure she’s not over-powered by the bold print.
