The Daily Mail ran a feature recently headlined: “At last! Clothes for women who are big on top and fed up with outsize clothes.”
It was by freelance journalist-turned-academic Mandy Appleyard, who wears a size 8 dress, and has a 30G-cup bust. She talked about the problems she has finding clothes that fit her properly. According to Mandy, a third of UK women say they have to buy a bigger dress-size just to accommodate their bust.
Whether your shape is similar to Mandy, or you are a size 14 and wearing a G-cup bra, we recognise that you may still experience problems finding clothes which fit your top and bottom half. If you are fuller busted, do take a look at our styling tips for fuller busts.
If you are like Mandy, take a look at the shirts and dresses from M&S here as M&S offer a collection of shirts, blouses and dresses for women with a fuller bust.
Like M&S, Bravissimo have also created a collection which offers blouses, tops and dresses for women with bust size DD and above, cut generously around the bust, so clothes don’t gape or pull.
Not only do its size 8-18 clothes come with carefully positioned buttons, darts and seams but each item is available in Curvy, Really Curvy or Super Curvy, depending on just how much bosom you need to accommodate. They certainly sound good to us.

None of these models are busty id rather see a true figure before buying sorry
Thanks for your comment, Andrea. The clothes are photographed on models, so we can’t expect very ‘busty.’ These are style suggestions and guidelines for the fuller-busted… And for the fuller-busted, we also did wearer trials on a real-life 36E…
I’m sure you could find models with fuller up top figures!
It’s impossible to judge the clothes and so unrealistic it becomes pointless to promote the clothes as good for fuller breasted women.
So diapointing
Back to the drawing board!
Hi Amanda. Thanks for commenting. You make a really good and very valid point. We are truly sorry the pictures disappointed you. We have little choice but to use the images/pictures the brands supply!
Despite the pictures, the brands mentioned in the blog have good products to offer fuller-busted women. However, Cyndy and I are, frankly, baffled that they fail to realise how bad they are at showing potential customers what great products they have!
We can’t promise more accurate pictures, but we will try to find more products for fuller-busted women. In the meantime, many brands in the lingerie section of our Shop https://www.sosensational.co.uk/shop/bras/ such as Brastop, Ample Bosom, John Lewis, Debenhams and others, stock excellent bras in DD and above. And we are always on the lookout for clothing for the fuller-busted woman, so keep looking…
