The art of gift giving is something that many of us enjoy. However, by exchanging sustainable gifts we can still meet the desire of gift giving, without compromising the environment. There are so many fabulous sustainable gift ideas which can really put a smile on a loved one’s face. Here’s our current favourites:
1. Reusable Shopping Bags
A very simple, but useful gift which will be taken out on regular trips are handy reusable shopping bags. Buying a loved one a reusable shopping bag that is made to last is always appreciated. We love the Black And Leather Jute Shopper (£29.00) from Not On The High Street. Not only is this bag made from environmentally friendly material but it can also be wiped clean and personalised for a special touch!
2. Bee Barrel
For the passionate gardener we adore this bee barrel (£29.99) from the ethical superstore. It’s important that we protect the bees, so by giving them a home we’re encouraging them into our green spaces. To be extra helpful try and plant flowers that help them to thrive, such as lavender.
3. Reusable Water Bottle
To keep drinks fresh on the go, treat someone to a hard wearing reusable water bottle. Not only is it the best way to ensure you don’t get any spillages in your bag whilst on-the-go, but also saves on waste and ensures your drink stays at the right temperature for longer. There’s so many reusable water bottles out there so shop around to find one that suits yourself or loved one. Our current love is the Not On The High Street Wombat Floral Water Bottle (£18.99) because not only can it keep liquid cold up to 24 hours, it’s also got a gorgeous design!
4. Embroidery Kit
Giving someone the gift of learning a creative and calming hobby is a wonderful thing. We adore the fabulous embroidery kits from ‘Stitch Happy.’ Not only are all the kits lovingly hand made, but they also include organic cotton, needles and hoops. Check out the gorgeous Retro Daisies Embroidery Kit (from £25.00).
5. Reusable make up remover pads
One of our favourite useful gifts is reusable make up remover pads. Not only are they way better at removing your make up, but they’re also far less damaging to the environment. Our current favourites are the Bambaw 16 Reusable Make up remover pads pack (£15.99). This is because you get enough in case you’re going off on holiday and it comes with a handy laundry bag to store them in. They’re really a game changer and to wash them, all you have to do is pop them in your daily wash, easy-peasy!
Not only are these gorgeous sustainable gifts thoughtful, but they’re also super useful and don’t break the bank, a win-win!
