Pretty, mouth-watering pastels are another key trend for S/S15. But pastels can be challenging for the grown-up woman – especially pink, which is too closely associated with little girls and old ladies to be a welcome addition to the grown up woman’s wardrobe.
So we will advise being wary of pink (ie. choose your shade carefully or avoid) Preferably, choose from pastels such as mint, lemon, light orange, light blue and aqua.
Lilac is another pastel shade to treat warily. Potentially flattering and very on-trend this S/S15 season , it can also have old-lady associations, but can be very wearable if you choose, simple, linear shapes in lilac. Toughen it up by mixing with leather or denim. And then mix it up by teaming it with other pastels, such as mint or lemon, for a sharply pretty and not too sickly-sweet combination.
