The instant way to update your wardrobe and transition into the new season is to go into print.
Print is again the perfect way to display your fashion savvy for A/W17.
We’re not telling you print is new – you know as well as us that print has been enjoying a ‘moment’ for, ooh, half a decade (a very long moment, then) but we love print and we can’t wait to get into all the new season’s gorgeous prints for work, weekends and occasions.
Print is blooming across so many pieces we love. And as well as floral prints, there are animals, digital prints and geo-prints – in fact every kind of print. Here are some of our absolute faves:
Vibrant and visually stunning, we love this Boden silky shirt, mixing stripes and flowers on an elegant navy ground, in a very pleasing way…
We are totally in love with this James Lakeland jacket. With its fur collar and vintage-inspired flower-print it will elevate jeans (or leather trousers) into a statement outfit or add va-va-voom to a simple pencil skirt or a simple black dress.
You can be a real lady in this silky M&S ladybird shirt with its 70s-inspired, fitted silhouette. We love the colour combo, of cream adorned with pretty red. Style with jeans or flared trousers and undo a few buttons, 70s-style.
Add a splash of fabulous floral print to your accessories with these ravishingly pretty flower-adorned court shoes from Ted Baker. Obvs, perfect for a special occasion, but stunning with skinny, cropped jeans.
This Karen Millen number is a real ‘wow’ of a geo-print dress. We love it for work styled with boots and a big tote, but with its wrap shape, bracelet sleeves and asymmetric hem, we could also style it up for party wear with courts, a clutch and some bold jewellery.
Clean, simple, elegant… a vibrant print transforms this Monsoon shift dress into a dress we could party in (just add heels and jewels). Alternatively, a blazer and boots would make it office-friendly, too.
The pleat skirt carries on into winter. This one from Debenhams, splashed with a gorgeous floral print, could become our NBS (that’s New Best Skirt) because we could team it with a dark sweater, boots and blazer for lunch or brunch out (or for the office), or with a silky top for an evening out.
