The Oscars haven’t even come around yet, but Award Season is already in full swing which is lucky for us, because Red Carpet Season is our go-to for occasion inspiration.
If you have a black-tie event on your diary, an uber glamorous wedding to attend or you want to look glam and chic on a cruise, you need to read our rundown of the top styles from the red carpet events from the season so far, the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards and, of course, our very own BAFTAs:
What they wore at the Golden Globes…
Spring was in the air for the golden globes, and just as we predicted in our spring review, the colour of choice was yellow. Yellow was everywhere, from Natalie Portman wearing Prada over her mum-to-be bump, to Reese Witherspoon in structured simplicity from Atelier Versace.
Head to toe sequins were the ultra glamorous option. This trend was led by Kristen Bell oozing sexy sophistication in Jenny Packham, while Ruth Negga was fashion forward in Louis Vuitton.
Suits also played a major role on the first red carpet of the season, and Evan Rachel Wood led the pack looking exquisite in Altuzarra, with Kathryn Hahn coming a close second in Brandon Maxwell.

What they wore at the SAGs…
Femininity and florals ruled the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild. Florals ranged from dark and stormy as seen on Emma Stone in Alexander McQueen and Claire Foy in Valentino, to pale and whimsical as displayed on Emily Blunt in Roberto Cavalli.
Feminine accents ranged from oversized corsages by Dior worn by Kate Hudson and Salma Hayek wearing Gucci, to dainty bows and embellishment on Taraji P. Henson wearing Reem Acra.

What they wore at the BAFTAs…
The BAFTAs offered dramatic contrasts, with black dominating the red carpet juxtaposed with a splattering of pastel gowns for contrast. Leading the darker side of the red carpet were The Duchess of Cambridge in a stunning Alexander McQueen tiered gown and Nicole Kidman looking effortlessly sexy in daring Armani Prive.
Leading the charge in pretty pastels were Naomie Harris and Anya Taylor Joy, both looking amazingly flawless in tiered gowns by Gucci.
Florals were yet again everywhere. Showing us how to rock embroidery was Emily Blunt in Alexander McQueen, and Emma Stone embellished to perfection in Chanel.
