Ruth Langsford – here’s how to steal her style…
Daytime TV presenter Ruth Langsford, is one of our favourite celebrities.
Best known as a co-presenter of two top-rated ITV shows, This Morning and Loose Women, Langsford, is also the latest celebrity to be announced as a competitor in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Married since 2010, to TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, Langsford will be taking to the dance-floor alongside writer, comedian and broadcaster Susan Calman, comedian and entertainment all-rounder Brian Conley, plus a slew of Soap stars and musicians (or former musicians), and TV chef Simon Rimmer. The BBC hasn’t yet announced the start date of the 2017 series of Strictly but it usually starts in September with a December finale.
Recently, Langsford, 57, has got her own ‘show’ Ruth Langsford’s Fashion Edit, on shopping channel QVC. We can quite see why the shopping channel wanted Ruth to present a segment. She looks great and makes clever fashion choices, which is why we’re stealing some of her style on your behalf.
She is slim, but ‘slim’ in real world way, not in a TV or ‘celebrity’ way (i.e. good on camera but often too thin for the real world). And she likes dresses that show off her shape.
Langsford has a pretty, oval face so the shape of the neckline matters less for her, but she has a fuller bust and like most women with a fuller bust, she looks better wearing a lower neckline – V, sweetheart, scooped, square.
Our absolute favourite is this blue lace maxi with its super flattering off-the-shoulder neckline. This hugs her curves for optimum oomph. Because it’s a single colour from neck to ankle, it creates a stunning silhouette. The colour really works for her, too – not too bright, not too pale; just right – we all need a colour that does that for us! And the sleek clutch and statement earrings finish it to perfection.
