We know you loved our SS19 trend edit; but now summer’s always here, we think you deserve an update!
The SS19 fashion runways featured trends we predicted would be key; including utility, scarf prints, décor, boho and the season’s key colours. However, we wanted to make sure you look equally as fashionable now we’re heading into high summer. Don’t worry though; these looks are still trending! That gorgeous utility jacket you bought in February isn’t going anywhere fast, so take a look at the ultimate trend update to match it…
Utility
As predicted, utility is one of the leading trends for the season. This practical look includes lightweight layers, linens, shirt dresses, belted jackets and so much more that will look fabulous on you. The perfect way to stay on trend with utility is to team these looks with the sunset hues and animal prints we’ve mentioned below.
Sunset Hues
We love one of this season’s key colour palettes; it blends seamlessly into the utility and animal print look, whilst complimenting the ’90s revival and tea dress trends we’ll mention too! This relaxed theme ranges from soft off-whites to striking rust colours, and looks oh-so chic. If you want a look that looks sophisticated and expensive; sunset hues are the way to go.
’90s Revival
We knew ’90s was going to be huge this season, but the runways looked a little too young for our liking! Fortunately, as spring has passed, we’ve been able to spot the trending pieces that look gorgeous on a mature lady over 50. As we mentioned in our previous edit, bright or block colours make this trend accessible, and we think the square toe trend looks just stunning teamed with over 50s fashion!
Tea Dress
Drapes, wrap designs, ties and knots… the tea dress is the perfect dress for almost any occasion. Vintage styles in luxe satin fabrics, pretty floral prints and an array of lengths are ideal for a warm summer’s day, garden party, cocktail nights or holiday.
Animal Print
Fortunately, we can’t see animal prints going anywhere soon! There’s a chic print for everyone, ranging from the ultimate 50 plus dresses to understated shoes accessories…
