The beauty of Slendertone belts is that they’re so discrete we can wear them almost anywhere, from doing some hoovering to heading for our grocery shopping! With 6 weeks of daily use, you can lose cm off your waist, so we’ve found some of our favourite ways to make the most out of you new Slendertone belt.
Watching the TV
Whether Corrie or Killing Eve is more your thing, we think cosying up on the sofa is the perfect way to wear our Slendertone belts!
However, if you really want to notice a difference, you should do some exercise- the more you challenge your muscles, the more fat you’ll break down for energy and tone. Check out some of our favourite sports exercises.
Household Chores
We’ve already mentioned doing the hoovering whilst wearing your belt, but you can use it whilst doing so many other chores- wearing your Slendertone whilst doing chores is great if you’re short on time. Why not wear yours whilst cooking a delicious healthy meal, whilst ironing your work shirt, or even whilst cleaning?
Walking
Walking is a great cardio exercise as it benefits so many things- it increases endurance and strength, improves management of conditions like muscular pain, stiffness or diabetes, and reduces body fat, which means your Slendertone can be used in junction with walking. Try walking to the shops, walking your dog or head out into the country. If you can, why not replace your drive to work with walking and your Slendertone- it’ll feel like you aren’t even exercising; just commuting!
Classic Ab Exercises
Most people wear their Slendertone before or after exercise whilst relaxing or running errands, but you can wear it during too! Mix up your workout routine or create a new one by choosing your favourite ab workouts to do with your Slendertone; we’ve chosen a few of our favourites below. Start off with low reps, and then increase this as your strength increases.
Plank
Hold a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles whilst supporting yourself on your toes and forearms; hold this for a short time to start with, but as your stomach muscles gain stamina from your Slendertone, you can up your timing
Leg Raise
Lie down flat, and raise your legs until they’re vertical and straight, and lower them back down again.
Bicycle Crunch
Lie down flat and place your hands behind your head, bring your knees into your chest and lift your shoulders off the floor. Rotate to the left, bring your right elbow towards your left knee as the other leg straightens. Switch sides, and repeat.
Heel Push Crunch
Lie on your back with your knees bent and hands behind your head and contract your abs. At the top of your crunch, push your feet into the floor to engage the rectus abdominis muscles.
