The Wimbledon Tennis Tournament has started. One of the tennis circuit’s major tournaments, it is also one of Britain’s most iconic and historic sporting events.
We’ll help you to Ace It in the style stakes whether you are attending Wimbledon, or some other sporting event this summer.
We know you want stand-out style, but we think you want it combined with a bit of practicality because a day at Wimbledon involves a lot of time outdoors. That means being prepared for any kind of weather – this is, after all, the UK when it could be chilly and windy one moment and blazing-hot the next.
That means being extra clever as well as being fashion-savvy… Here are some suggestions which feature layers as we think it’s miserable being cold and you can peel layers off if it gets hot…
WHITE
Although the players no longer have to wear white, we love white for Wimbledon or for any summer sporting event. If you wear white, avoid resembling a player who has got lost between the Locker Room and Court One by adding colour (perhaps via a big tote) and rocking lots of statement jewellery.
A DARKER MOOD
Although we love the glamour of White at Wimbledon, we also love Black or dark Navy because, well, because not everyone feels right in white. The trick with black or navy is to avoid looking ‘corporate.’ That means picking natural fabrics and pieces that are a bit voluminous and slouchy. Black and dark navy have an advantage in being transport-friendly if you have to shlep to Wimbledon on the District Line….
A long scarf, perhaps in white or in a paint-box bright to wear with white (above) or in black, navy or a bold print, will give a Boho vibe to any outfit and remove any possibility of looking ‘corporate’.

Oh yes, and one other thing: a small, telescopic umbrella to pop in your bag…
P.s. don’t forget about your skin! If it’s going to be a really gorgeous sunny day, you’ll need a good primer combined with a great setting spray to ensure your makeup doesn’t move! If your makeup doesn’t already have SPF built in, then you need to get your hands on this amazing Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence SPF 50 to help protect from damaging UVA and UVB rays…
