Athleisure has continued to dominate nearly every fashion house and brand in the land, even New Season is dominated by loungewear comfy’s rather than waist-strangling cocktail dresses (though they’ll be on a comeback soon!). But whereas before, athleisure was simply a comfy lounge-around-the-house affair, the trend is becoming a season of its own, given the current lockdown in the UK and while things are looking brighter, we’ve got to stay comfy for a little while longer yet!
We’ve put together a breadth of athleisure trends to match your own style – gone of the days where you wouldn’t be seen dead outside in it!
Subtle Elegance
French Connection‘s Renya joggers and paired top gives a relaxed appearance – we’ll call this Sunday.
While unbelievably comfortable, the design and colour brings out a refined outfit without compromising on its desired effect, which is to give the wearer a hugely comfortable experience (perfect for a Netflix binge – have you watched Bridgerton yet?)
The drawstring hem top from this style gives some adjustment to how you want to look, from ultimately relaxed to slightly more fitted – we’re in love with the versatility!
We’ve decided that this look gives you a subtle elegance, even lounging around the house.

A bit-of-everything
These joggers from Bamboo Clothing (BAM for short) really are for the woman who’s a bit of everything – completely relaxed and sublimely comfortable for when you’re putting a puzzle together or seeing to the grandkids, but when you’re ready to go, they’re ready too.
And because it’s from BAM, think sustainable too – in particular this product is made from Bamboo Organic Cotton – from their website, you’re also saving the equivalent of 571 days of drinking water – how refreshing, if you’ll pardon the pun.
So, for those of you that mix relaxed evenings but also have a bit of get-up-and-go, alongside wanting to be more conscious in your buying choices, we’ve found the joggers for you.

Smart Style
For those of you that just don’t suit the casual look, you’re covered by Hobbs – we’ve called this Smart Style – loungewear that could be confused for something smarter.
Using the same material as you’d expect in a pair of joggers, they’re shaped in a more formal style, giving them extra versatility for a trip out, but equally at home.
We love these for ultimate comfort but also the smarter appearance – there’s not many jogger styles that pass as formalwear! It also comes with an elasticated waist for extra comfort, it’s a thumbs up from us.
Pair with the Jaida Sparkle Jumper for an effortless smart casual look.

The active one
So we finish on the more traditional connotations when it comes to athleisure – the Yoga outfit.
We’ve chosen this one from Whistles – partly because its a gorgeous matching piece (available in Khaki or Black) but also it’s less garish than some others you see on the markets with more patterns that a Banksy graffiti mural.
You can buy the outfit separately with either joggers or just the top, but for the full effect, get the whole outfit. Featuring a flattering waistline and super-stretchy material, we’re convinced this a staple for spring and summer.
Leggings: £44 (with 20% off event)
