Best Dressed: Oscar And Bafta Style Steals
Where were you for the Oscars and BAFTAs? Glammed up at an Oscar party, or cosy in your PJs in front of the telly?
Whether you were busy watching or just had a quick google, you’ll have spotted mature ladies looking drop-dead-gorgeous, as well as a few talented actors and actresses flying the British flag! With some stunning dresses and some more far-out (rabbit themed) designs, we’ve chosen some of our favourites so you can steal their style.
Gorgeous, traditional pleating mixed with a SS19 colourway makes Laura Harrier’s Louis Vuitton a perfect choice for a regal event. The colour plays off her skin tone perfectly, but don’t be afraid if your tone is much more pink- there’s a tone of orange for everyone! Whether you love the pleats, pretty colour, peekaboo tie detail or delicate hair jewellery; there’s the perfect high-street match.

Flying the British flag, Olivia Colman was one of the stand-out winners of the night. Not just for her hilarious speech though, her gorgeous racing green Prada dress complete with a stunning bow evoked elegant style. We love the pretty embellished scarf and high neck dress, and we can’t wait to be donning forest green again!
She may have missed out on the BAFTA and the Oscar, but Glenn Close certainly didn’t miss out on show-stopping style. We absolutely adore her gorgeous Alexander McQueen frock, and just had to steal the simple yet elegant style. The v neck gazes the eye perfectly to the gorgeous embellished waist, contouring her frame perfectly. We found two gorgeous dresses with the pretty beaded waist for you.
The timeless beauty Helen Mirren looked just sensational in this ombre tulle number. With covered arms, a chic fitted waist and a flattering skater skirt; this is our dream Oscars dress! For our style steals, we’ve found two pretty tulle maxis, complete with the chic Grecian top detailing.
It’s not just dresses catching our eyes this year; a number of stars have created a new feminine take on the classic tux. Though we would want a shirt or silk cami underneath, we are loving all the looks!
