Like us, you might have thought Damart was an English brand, because of the very British concept of its original product: a warm layer.

But, TBH, it is the French styling we love the most. That super chic French styling is most visible in, ooh, all of their cashmere knits, but if we had to pick our absolute faves, they include this cleverly long (and cleverly understated) edge-to-edge cashmere cardi which looks so perfect styled with denim, flats and a white tee; or this long-line sweater which Damart call ‘round-neck’ but which actually has that very Gallic – and so very flattering – scooped-out neckline. We also love the seriously on-trend V-neck sweater to be worn oversized and over nothing (well, over a bottom half, obvs, but with a ‘clean’ neckline). There’s also a classic turtle-neck (AKA roll-neck or polo-neck), for those who really crave cosiness – it’s lovely, too, and also in 4 colours and also up to size 26/28 and under £100 – but you know what turtle-neck looks like (except this one has a really flattering cut – again, that clever French way with basics…)
