Summer is truly upon us, so it’s time to shop for this year’s swimwear.
If you’re a gorgeous DD+ lady, a simple trip to the shop can become a real hunt for the perfect piece, but as your smaller busted friends are grabbing dainty triangle bras, we’ve created the perfect guide for gorgeous DD+ bikinis, tankinis and swimsuits to save you time and trouble!
Best Shapes
The first thing we look for in a larger bikini is thick straps- the wider, the more supportive! Halterneck bikinis and swimsuits often feature larger straps, or alternatively, pick a vintage style piece that looks just gorgeous with a thicker strap. V neck styles suit larger busts perfectly, and look equally flattering on swimsuits and bikinis.

Right: Figleaves Black Icon Spot Mesh Shaping Swimsuit, £60
Create an Hourglass Shape
If you’re bigger up top (find out your shape here), creating an hourglass is easy to do with swimwear. An easy way to do this is to mix and match a plain coloured top with patterned bottoms to draw the eye down, or pick a pretty swimsuit or bikini with frills or knots to add bulk to your hips.

Bikinis
Whether you dare to bare or just want to show an inch of skin, there are so many gorgeous bikinis for DD+ busts. We love high waisted pieces to cover up our bellies, or a stylish vintage piece to ooze Marilyn style.

Tankinis
If you like to keep your tummy covered, but want the versatility of a bikini, a tankini is the perfect alternative. We’d recommend trying an underwired piece to provide support, on a halterneck or v neck style.

Swimsuits
As we’ve mentioned, v necks and underwired pieces are the perfect choices for swimsuits. If you’re conscious of your tummy, choose something with secret support, or block panels to give the illusion of a smaller waist. If you’re a sumptuous hourglass, vintage belted swimsuits are key trends this year, and will look absolutely gorgeous on you!
