Whether it be curve or plus-size, fortunately more and more places are selling clothes for sizes 14-32!
We’re so happy to see a wider range of sizes available on the high street, so we took some time to take a look through all the ranges to find our favourite stores that features trendy plus-size clothes for a 50 year old woman.
Fifty plus dresses, tops, trousers and anything else can be so easy to find if you follow our hints and tips, but first, let us take you through some of our favourite stores…
Chesca Direct

If you’re looking for a truly unique dress, Gina Bacconi is the perfect choice! Gina Bacconi craft their clothing specifically to suit older figures, and they’re just gorgeous for Mother of the Bride or wedding guest dresses, cocktail evenings, or even glam holiday dresses. We know you’ll have seen us shout about Gina Bacconi before- that’s just how much we love them! Despite being aimed at mature ladies, their models are all very young and slim, so we’ve chosen a few pieces we know will suit curvy ladies.
H&M Plus-Size
Every wardrobe needs essential basics to build upon, and H&M’s minimal scandi style is perfect for this. Their low prices and simple styles feature in their plus size range too, so simple pull-on trousers, classic white tees and crisps shirts make an indispensable base. Don’t underestimate the Swedes when it comes to pretty prints and stylish designs; they’ve got them too! One thing we would recommend with H&M is going a size up, or even ordering multiple sizes so you can pick and choose- returns are free of charge!
Evans
Evans are well-known within the fashion industry for being a leading plus-size brand, but that doesn’t mean we should leave them off our list! Evans put emphasis on gorgeous patterns and prints, trending styles and stand-out designs perfect for holidays, work and occasion wear. Evans know exactly how to create flattering looks that hide whatever you want to hide, whether it be tummys with their split shift dresses or thighs with their figure-flattering denim- they’re experts at styling your shape.
Marks & Spencer Curve
M&S are of course a household name, with a gorgeous range of women’s, mens’ and kids’ fashion, as well as furniture, homeware and so much more! But did you know their fashion ranges include a curve range? Fortunately, there are over 1,000 plus-size pieces available, so it’s brimming with choice! Their specially tailored pieces include longer hemlines, cling-free fabrics and discreet panelling; perfect for showcasing your figure. Unfortunately, they don’t have plus-size models, so we’ve chosen a few pieces we know will look great on you.
John Lewis & Partners Plus-Size
Finally, if you’re looking for a range of brands all in one place, there’s of course our shop! However, John Lewis & Partners feature a lot of the brands we love, and whilst we haven’t personally picked our favourites for you on there, there’s plenty of choice for you. So, if you love brands like Studio 8 (Phase Eight’s plus-size range), Betty Barclay and Adrianna Papell, John Lewis & Partners have a varied range.
