Rebecca from the SoSensational Team has been trying the Rodial SUPER ACIDS X-Treme Acid Rush Peel for a month.

It contains a potent combination of azelaic, glycolic and lactic acids and is designed to exfoliate and retexture the skin to reveal a new layer of skin where the appearance of imperfections and fine lines and wrinkles are reduced.

Says Rebecca:  “Believe me. I was just as concerned as you probably are right now about the word ‘acids’! Surely, I don’t want to put acid on my skin and leave it there for 10-15mins? Well, having agreed to trial it, I braved it. And let me tell you, it’s amazing!

“Initially, it’s like using any exfoliator on your skin, except without the scrubbing. It’s in a pump-action container – you just pump out a little of the clear green gel, smooth it over your face, avoiding eyes and lips. You then relax for 15 mins then you simply rinse it off with warm water to reveal gorgeously smooth, soft skin.

“It does make skin tingle a little, which was alarming the first time I applied it, but after a minute or so, it stopped tingling so I could carry on relaxing!

“I have quite dry skin and some red pigmentation on my forehead and cheeks and I was concerned it might make these issues worsen, but it has really helped to clear it up and I was really surprised at just how soft my skin feels after this trial. It is my new fave skincare product and I’m planning to use it once a week to refresh my skin. It is pricey, but in my view, really worth it!”

Due to the strong exfoliation and resurfacing nature of the product, Rodial highly recommend applying SPF moisturiser after use for at least the next 3 days (though of course we all know that applying a daily SPF moisturiser every day is the holy grail of looking after your skin to prevent skin damage from harmful UV rays which can lead to sun spots and ageing of the skin!).

So what do you think?
