Looking for the best deals online? Whether it’s for big buys like insurance or that petite dress you’ve had your eye on, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best savvy shopping strategies to follow.
Vouchers
Every week we take the time to find the best deals on the internet, from high-street shops to designer brands, and getaways to insurance policies. Before you head anywhere, we’d recommend starting on our Deals page for some fabulous deals. You can trust that our site is safe and secure, and we’ll only send you deals for other virus free websites. To check the site is secure, your address bar should feature a padlock, and the website should be a https:// site.
MultiCover Policies
By now, we’re sure you’ll know about sites like Go Compare and Compare the Market, but have you taken a look at MultiCover insurance? Heading to Admiral is such a simple way to get a MultiCover deal. If your insurance policies end at different times, you don’t need to cancel existing policies and pay extra fees, they’ll join automatically; plus you can take advantage of added discounts before that even happens. Finally, you can even extend these policies to family members that live away from home; perfect for adding the kids’ or grandchildren’s car or home insurance. Admiral’s MultiCover page explains this in more detail here.
You can also take advantage of their singular car, home, travel or pet insurance – insurance companies will often give you better quotes if you go direct to them.
Free Delivery
If there are no free delivery deals available on our site, here’s a handy little way to get better value for money! Sites often provide free delivery over a certain price, so if the free delivery mark is £25 and you spend £23, why not add a little £2 add-on to bump it up to the line? This way, you’re spending £25 with free delivery and an extra pair of socks or knickers, rather than £26.99 without the socks, but with £3.99 delivery!
Buy out-of-season
In store, out-of-season pieces often go into the sale- think a strappy top going into the early autumn sale or that cosy coat going in in March. Online, supply and demand still applies, so grab your new swimsuit in the autumn sale or during winter for next year’s summer vacay.
Use PayPal or a credit card with online fraud protection
Once you’ve chosen your new purchase or insurance, make sure your credit or debit card includes online fraud protection; you can check in the T&Cs on your bank’s site. Alternatively, we love PayPal since it’s so easy to get refunds if anything goes wrong, and is much more secure if you’re unsure about a site.
Keep your receipts
Once you’ve ordered, you should receive an email with confirmation and a receipt of your order. Keep this until you’ve checked your bank statements and have received your product. If you want to return anything, make sure you keep a hold of the receipt for this as well as proof of postage until you’ve received your refund- just in case it gets lost in the post.
Choose somewhere with free returns
If you’re buying clothes, a good idea is to purchase from somewhere with free returns. This way, you can buy multiple sizes and keep the perfect size for you, without having to spend on sending the others back! This is also great peace of mind if you’re unsure if you’ll like or suit the product or not.
