Do you know the differences between every bra type?
With the shops shut, we’ve taken on the new challenge of purchasing our bras online! It can be tricky judging which bra type we need, but we’re on hand to help you. We’ve been browsing Figleaves’ Last Chance To Buy section for some beautiful bras at amazing prices. We’ve chosen Figleaves because they have a handy Bra Fitting Guide on site, and also have a free UK returns service which means we can order a few sizes if we’re not sure which to pick!
Aside from sizing and returns, do you ladies know the ins and outs of every bra from the balconette to the plunge? Read on…
Balconette
This romantic cut is ideal for ‘slope’ shaped breasts, where the majority of the weight of the tissue falls to the bottom. This pretty shape provides minimal coverage up top, and shaping at the bottom to give the illusion of larger, shapely breasts. T-Shirt
T-shirt bras are just what they say, they have smooth, moulded cups that provide a discreet look under your t-shirts, and a flawless line under your other clothing.
Full Cup
If you’re looking for extra support and full coverage, a full cup bra should be your go-to. This style covers the entire breast area, maximising on support and comfort, sometimes with wide straps. However, these aren’t just about support- you can pick a beautiful full cup bra! Click your favourite…
Plunge
This shape extends higher on the strap and lower in the middle, creating a beautiful full shape and natural boost with some real cleavage. Plunge bras are great for low-cut dresses, shirts and tops, and suits all body shapes. Click your favourite image to shop…
