Right now, staying in really is the new going out. Many of us are working from home or self-isolating, so we need to know what to wear.
Whilst it’s easy to stay in your pyjamas, studies have proven getting dressed will keep your productivity levels high.
With this in mind, we’ve been looking for some of the perfect pieces to wear with WFH- something smart enough for our video calls, yet comfortable enough for staying home in!
We’re ignoring the LinkedIn life gurus telling us we should be wearing our suits and heels to sit at the kitchen table in, but rather taking on the style and fashion from the upcoming loungewear market. No longer just for lounging around in front of the TV, loungewear is our new uniform. Take a look at some of our picks for the video meeting, commute slashing work life.
Tops
Whether you’re taking part in video calls or not, it’s important to pick a comfy yet smart top. All this means, to us however, is a simple jersey top! Whether stripes, lace details or pretty colourways are more your style, they’re cool and soft whilst also practical for calls.

Shoes
One thing you can’t miss whilst working at home- the weather’s seriously heating up! Whilst we started WFH in cosy slippers, we think it’s time to move onto something cooler. The Sola Leather Slides from FitFlop are just that- cool, easy slip-ons you can wear anywhere. They’re comfy enough to wear as slippers with their DuocomFF midsoles with two lightweight midsole layers and anatomically contoured footbed, but stylish and sturdy enough to wear out on our daily walks! Black, caramel or rose gold- with up to 60% off in their mid-season sale, which will you pick?
Jumpers
On a cooler day, it’s so easy to throw on a comfy jumper. We love soft, luxe cashmere with its smart touch or embellished jumpers ideal for meetings or a loungey sweatshirt for down days. Pop it on over your top, or wear it on its own- jumpers are oh-so versatile.

Trousers
Old joggers are scruffy, smart trousers are unnecessary- we’ve been on the hunt for the perfect inbetween pair! From modern jogger styles to wide leg jeans, anything goes as long as it’s comfy and presentable, but we just love the sweet spot of wide leg trousers. A soft satin pair is just one (smart) step away from PJs, a knitted pair is so soft and warm on a cooler day, and culottes are perfect for when the sun is shining through the window. A little extra from us, these are perfect for taking on holiday when we’re out and about again!

Cardigan
The perfect throw-on piece is the cardigan. Whether chunky knits or dainty cashmere is more your thing, they’re perfect to pop on over your t-shirts if it turns a little chilly. Need we say more?
