Occasionally, the SoSensational team are asked to review products, so when the opportunity came up to review TOMS Nepal Boots, Oxford Tan Suede Faux Hair, Cyndy was happy to oblige.
Here’s what Cyndy had to say:
“My feet are in love. Completely, utterly, and totally in love with TOMS Nepal Boots. Never have my feet been so cosy and warm, in boots that I can wear inside the house and outside too.
When the TOMS arrived, the first thing I noticed was the styling. I have some similar boots but because of the styling, they make one’s feet look like double decker buses. The clever diagonal line across the front of the TOMS boots ensures that my narrow feet still look slim. And then there’s the insole. My old boots have no support at all, the TOMS boots are totally arch supporting. Happy are my feet…
I thought it would be fun to style the TOMS with a different outfit every day of the week. On Monday, I put them on for the photo, and took them off again. On Tuesday, I wore them for the morning. On Wednesday, I wore them all day. On Thursday, I wore them all day and went out in the evening with them on. By Friday, my TOMS had become my footwear de jour.
I have sprayed them with a suede waterproof spray but if anything goes on them, and shows a mark, a little gentle rub, and they become spotless again.
If there is any downside, it’s the description of the colour. The box says ‘tan’ but anyone with a modicum knowledge of colour will know that the colour of the boots is actually ‘stone’. Tan is a warm colour, stone is a cool one but having said that, they go with everything the way they are so who cares? The sizing is good too. I take a UK 7, Eur 40 and they fit perfectly.
Thinking of a Christmas gift? There’s wrapping paper and string inside the box so you won’t even have to go searching for gift wrapping. Clever TOMS!
And if you feel a tiny twinge of guilt in buying a pair of TOMS to keep your feet cosy and warm and well shod, don’t forget that you will also be supporting a child who needs shoes. For every pair of shoes or boots that you buy, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need.
Now that’s shoe buying with a heart!
Have you bought any TOMS boots or shoes? We’d love to know what you think. Just comment in the box below.
