Seabourn one of the world’s most luxe cruise lines, has a new mixologist on board to create cocktails for its fleet of four ultra-luxurious ships, Quest, Sojourn, Odyssey and Encore.
World-renowned mixologist Brian Van Flandern is now creating cocktails for the Seattle-based cruise line and he has created this sensational cocktail especially for SoSensational.
Called the SoSensational Honey Do-Wop cocktail, the principal ingredients are vodka, honeydew melon and sparkling wine. So go ahead and try it when you are next having friends over. Or not; maybe just try it when you fancy a delicious cocktail.
SoSensational Honey Do-Wop – makes one
1 ½ oz. Ketel One Vodka
2 oz. Honey Dew Juice – strained of all pulp (In the UK Mello Juice does Honey Dew juice – stocked at Harvey Nichols, Daylesford, Ocado and WHOLE FOODS).
¼ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz. Sugar Syrup (or Agave, from Tesco, Waitrose, Holland & Barratt)
1 oz. Moscato D’Asti (a fragrantly scented Piedmontese fizz, available from Berry Bros & Rudd, Oddbins and Sainsbury’s)
Glassware: Highball
Garnish: Honey Dew Slices
Place all ingredients (except Moscato D’Asti) into mixing glass. Add ice, shake vigorously, add sparkling wine; tumble roll back and forth once; double strain over fresh ice; garnish, serve – and enjoy!
