Joe Wicks, also known as The Body Coach, has become a phenomenon during Coronavirus and self-isolation, so we were happy to see he’s also included workouts for seniors and over 50s!
Since self-isolation has begun, we’ve seen a real boost in home gym equipment sales, as well as hits to find the perfect home workout. Over 50s still need to take part in exercise and stay healthy, but some of us just can’t keep up with the Millennials and Gen Zs!
If a high-speed HIIT class is too much for you, but you’re missing those outdoor walks for your wellbeing and health, take a look at the 10-minute sessions Joe Wicks has put together.
In each session, he explains exercises that get your heart rate up and keep you joints moving, with simple moves like toe touches, gentle marches, rotations and back stretches.
Take a look at Joe’s videos below, and keep moving!
If you’re looking for a quick, simple cardio workout, this 10 minute piece is perfect. There’s no equipment required, and it features simple exercises like toe taps and rotations to keep your joints moving.

I am 71 years young and started doing sit ups while self isolating. Started with five for a few days now I have worked up to forty. I will get the skipping rope out next week as I haven’t skipped for years. Hope I can get into it again.
Wow, Ann! Sounds like your exercise is going really well- do let us know how you’re getting on with your skipping rope too.
